Creating icon(s) for our own game(s) is fun; my friend Vijay Solanki has come up with a wonderful idea about creating a game icon.

This will give you an idea about how to create a Game Icon in Photoshop.

• Create a new document
• Create base shape of the icon
• Wooden effect
• Draw the second shape
• Copy wooden layer into the new layer
• Make the background layer darker
• Add depth using layer style
• Add more depth using brush tool (b)
• Add depth to the top layer
• Create the third shape
• Take a duplicate layer
• Cut the green shape and fit it into the third layer
• Create a pool table hole
• Set outer glow effect wood 3 layer
• Add depth to the green shape
• Add noise filter
• Add highlights and details
• Draw a simple ball
